|
The Forum for Organic Resource Management and Agricultural Technologies (FORMAT) promotes innovative management of organic resources occurring in both rural and urban areas. FORMAT seeks to also enhance effective linkages among stakeholders through sharing of information, promising technologies and products. Any individual, organisation and business with interest in organic resource management is invited to participate in FORMAT countrywide Events to be held at eight locations in Kenya during October & November 2003. Topics to be covered include sustainable agriculture, integrated resource management, value-added processing, waste recycling, uses of indigenous plants and environmental protection. Those intending to present an exhibit or live demonstration should contact respective local organizers with the title of their exhibit and full contact details at least one month in advance of the respective event (see below). Awards will be given to outstanding exhibitors in the areas of Innovation and Community Service through Organic Resource Management. All the events are open to the general public except those in Kisumu and Kitale that will be open to the public during the afternoon of their second day.
