Core Participation in the Countrywide Events

Core participants presented high profile talks and exhibits at all the Countrywide Events

FORMAT recruited several innovators to serve as a group of 13 “core” participants to contribute to the presentations and exhibits during the Countrywide Events.  First, this group was invited to prepare high profile presentations and exhibits, and then provided with means to attend each of the eight events.  They presented talks and exhibits in their respective areas of specialization that range from soil fertility management, value-added processing and the use of traditional plants. The contributions from this group backstopped the efforts of many local organizers and gave each of the events a national outlook. In addition, these participants distributed samples and information, including reprints from the FORMAT book “Organic Resource Management in Kenya”.

Below are summaries of their contributions.
